Chandler Milestone 0.5.06 Report Card

Chandler Milestone 0.5.06 was officially released on October 19th. We are now officially feature complete. The next 7 weeks will be focussed on fixing bugs and improving performance.

Overall Status

We have completed all the smoke tests and functional tests on all platforms. Sharing calendars is available by setting up an account on our Cosmo Demo server.

Features

• Sharing: Full implementation of publishing and subscribing to read write and read only shares using tickets. Interoperability testing and bug fixing with Cosmo server. Some bug fixing for issues surfaced during Calconnect interop.
• Sidebar/Collections: Finishing all remaining spec tasks, adding all icons for mine/not mine/offline sharing statuses.
• Recurrence: Cleanup few remaining items, share recurring events, problems with large calendars.
• Timezones: Support floating timezones, proper handling of tz on import/export.
• Mini Calendar: UI tweaks, performance for busy bars, preview area.
• Detail view: Read/readonly icon, "appears in" collections list.
• i18n: Finish a bunch of remaining tasks including support in ui components.
• Zanshin: Fixed a number of issues that were surfaced during Calconnect interop.
• Performance: Improvements, testing, measuring is ongoing.

Architecture and Spec Work

• No spec work other than updating details or visuals as prompted by devs or qa.
• Some work on schema update strategy by pje.
• Performance analysis and improvements as required.

Known Bugs/Regressions

Critical Bugs or Regressions

• Bug:4300 - In some cases, a user will be unable to share a collection because the share menu item is "greyed out" or displaying the wrong text. You can temporarily work around this problem by selecting the Trash collection and re-selecting the collection you want to share. This causes the menu items to update.

• Bug:4358 - Taking a share offline displays the wrong sidebar icon
• Bug:4359 - Zanshin shouldn't return an error if you PUT a resource that doesn't support PROPFIND
• Bug:4373 - Sharing task and mail portion of already shared calendar collection fails
• Bug:4378 - Error icons do not appear for mine and not-mine collections
• Bug:4379 - Calendar becomes unusable after emptying the trash
• Bug:4376 - Dragging an event from a recurring series in a share wipes off the rest of the events
• Bug:4291 - Calendar view doesn't remember its selection
• Bug:4301 - Imported multiday events starting in previous week only show on first day
• Bug:4319 - zanshin.webdav.Resource.put() doesn't quote paths properly
• Bug:4324 - Stamping an item as mail and sending it raises NoSuchAttributeError exception
• Bug:4357 - Stamping a recurring event pops the mod dialog with Just this event option
• Bug:4332 - Trying to subscribe to a webcal: url always says "You are already subscribed"
• Bug:4370 - Mod dialog keeps popping in spite of hitting 'Cancel'
• Bug:4371 - Able to edit title of recurring events in a read-only calendar share
• Bug:4364 - Extra recurring events created when modified to all-day events
• Bug:4368 -'Appears in' field value is blank in the detail view for recurring events
• Bug:4272 - Detail view takes up more than 50% of Chandler screen
