This report covers the period from Mar 17-Mar 24 2006 (one week).

Highlights

  • Chandler
    • DetailedAlpha2Plan
    • First pass at background syncing, available via "Test | Sharing | Enable background syncing"
  • Cosmo
    • Cosmo 0.2.8 was released and announced. It is available for download now.
  • Scooby
    • Lots of work on the 0.2 release planning. We have rough estimates for each feature. As a team, we're digging to the next level of detail to determine more detailed scope and recommendations for in/out for 0.2.

Design and PM (Sheila)

Progress:

  • Finished all Chandler alpha2 specs.
  • Finished and presented Chandler alpha 2 plan.
  • Launched strategy discussions and planning.
  • Scooby 0.2 planning continues.

Plans:

  • Scooby 0.2, feature finalization.
  • More 1.0 strategy planning.
  • Chandler 0.7 performance targets and prep for alpha 3 planning.

Application WG (Philippe)

  • Progress
    • 0.7alpha2 moving forward
    • Progress on all main features
    • Email notification of events demoed this morning at the Staff meeting
  • Plan
    • Continue to monitor 0.7alpha2 tasks and bugs count
    • More progress on current 0.7alpha2 tasks

Platform WG (Katie)

  • Progress:
  • Plans:
    • More work on background sync, eggs
    • Commit timezone changes (smart-naive timezones)
    • Focus on finishing alpha2 work

QA, Build and Release (Heikki/Aparna)

  • Progress:
    • Installed cosmo 0.2.8 on qacosmo and ran compatibility tests against current code of chandler
    • Ran tests against the checkpoint build and filed bugs
    • Scooby 0.1 testing in progress
    • Cosmo 0.3 test plan in progress
    • Fixed bugs in the CATS framework to enhance reporting
    • Triaged the regressions assigned to 0.7 release and assigned them to the alphas.

  • Plans:
    • Complete Scooby 0.1 testing
    • Run compatibilty tests against Cosmo 0.3
    • Identify new features going into Chandler and work with dev to add functional tests for those.

Cosmo and Scooby (John)

Progress:

  • Cosmo
    • Cosmo 0.2.8 was released and announced. It is available for download now.
    • Refactoring of Jackrabbit node usage is now done. We plan to start testing this next week.
    • Brian Kirsh continues to fix defects for Cosmo 0.3
    • Brian Mosley refactored the test directories for Cosmo into Functional and unit tests.
  • Scooby
    • Scooby 0.1 is basically done. We're working on the documentation and landing pages at this point.
    • Lots of work on the 0.2 release planning. We have rough estimates for each feature. As a team, we're digging to the next level of detail to determine more detailed scope and recommendations for in/out for 0.2.
    • Scooby 0.1 branch created. The source tree is now open for 0.2!

Plans:

  • Cosmo
    • Continue to work towards closing out 0.3 release. (Migration tool, bug fixes)
    • Work with FoxMarks? to test our jackrabbit changes for 0.3.
    • Get all potential future features into Bugzilla.
  • Scooby
    • Continue to work on Scooby 0.2 planning. Goal: Get rough outline of plan for 0.2 done and out to the list this week.
    • Get a number of Scooby related design discussions up and running on the design list. (We need to get clarity on a number of issues for 0.2 release)
    • Push 0.1 bug fixes into 0.2 source tree.
