Individual Planner

• Embraces technology, not necessarily the early adopter type, but uses a computer on a regular basis.
• Uses iCal regularly for planning, or a comparable application. If the user likes iCal, they might like to use Chandler.
• May have portable PIM/PDA devices, but not rely on portible devices for managing their calendar.
• E-mail at home/work is not on an integrated system, ie. Outlook + Exchange, Lotus Notes etc.
• Has an online e-mail account, ie. .mac, yahoo, hotmail etc.
• Finds that keeping it all in their head is not an option (as in we're not targeting non-calendar users).
• Plans events at home and at work:

Home:

• Makes regular personal appointments, ie. doctor appointments
• May plan regular appointments with significant other (SO) and friends outside the office network, ie. drinks after work, movie night
• May plan regular appointments for household chores, ie. plumber to fix toilet, cleaning lady
• May plan large elaborate events with SO, close family, and extended family and , ie. family dinners

Work:

• Has a busy schedule or needs to keep on top of more than just their personal schedule.
• May work in an environment that just doesn't support Exchange, ie. smaller educational/non-profit office, but not limit to only working in those institutions.
• May be people who work at OSAF, LPFI, KAI, KEI.

Groups Users

• Non-hierarchal (flat organizations)
• Small working groups/teams, ie. book club, schools, art galleries, crisis hotline, family
• Lightweight project management
• May not be a full-time professional

Individual Web 2.0

• Subscribes to many list feeds: RSS
• Some subset may be developers to contribute
• Passive user in planning. Let the feeds plan out events on his/her calendar
