Cosmo Design Session Notes: Unified (Magic) URL
The Cosmo team reviewed the workflow and mock ups:

The next action is to modify the mock ups based on our discussion in today’s meeting. Then to follow up on the design list.
Summary of changes
- Screen 3 'Preview' of Calendar in Cosmo, to work an additional screen when it is logged in.
- When the user first clicks on the URL, to show a default Calendar page with a blank event details
- Screen 3b, to rework the subscribe dialog, yes, no. Remove cancel
- Screen 4 subscribe, may not need additional page for subscription but have the option to subscribe in the application, other feeds and ical links directly from the calendar view
- How to display 'temporary' collection; a collection which is not subscribed, but if the user has logged on to a Cosmo account and is viewing a collection from a clicked URL, but not subscribed to it.
- Need to be able to unsubscribe
- Renaming the collection
- Delete the collection (Currently this can only be done in the 'home collection' part of the application)
Notes:
- we need a default event to once the user has clicked on the URL, is the event details blank when you first click on the link?
- might be an opportunity for instructions when the event details is blank when you first click on the url from the email
- we want the URLs bookmark-able and construct them (tough with tickets -bobby)
- name of the calendar,
- mde: how far you're zoomed in, how much do we want to save?
- new design work to have in place log in and in the client
- ad the ability to subscribe even if you've already subscribed to cosmo
- don't need to have 'cancel' button in screen three, subscribe
- log in to not have anything to do with subscription
- when you're logged on you can still view the collection sent by the chandler user, but it would not be in the drop down collection
- Preview mode is editable, don't use the word 'Preview'
- there's always the option to add the collection
- section in the pull down, temporary subscription/collection of what you see
- you should be able to always see a subscribe button
- it would be confusing if you have already been subscribed, adding this new calendar
- how to have this thing selectable, but not grouped with the other things
- propose to have a selection opposed to drop down
- bcm to may not need to have this additional page to subscribe after you've subscribed to cosmo
- stop considering RSS technology, ppl understand the concept of feed, don't need to say Atom -bcm
- feed link can be there somewhere, same w/ iCal.
- subscribe with other apps.
- when you're already logged in, you see the pop up, you can show up on the temporary list
- would like to have two separate mock ups, next level of detail
- more verbose instructions instead of just 'subscribe'-bcm
- color zone instructions, roll overs
- home collection browsers, admin
- subscribing to something that is not a calendar
- mock up some explanatory temporary text, for items beyond support more then just events
- Ted will need estimates on how long it's going to take
