Zero Point Five Known Major Bugs

These are the known bugs in 0.5 release as of the release date.

Known to crash Chandler

If you add the Block Demo view using Test->Add Additional Views, then select it in the sidebar, the app crashes on Windows.

On the PC, if you click Close or Print from the Print Preview for the Calendar, the app crashes. (Bug:2670)

On the Mac, there is crash when using a debug build. (Bug:1293)

On the Mac, the app crashes when selecting the All app bar button if we are viewing the calendar and we have the cursor in either the location or duration fields. (Bug:2665)

Functional Bugs

Summary table view columns are not sortable. (Bug:1230)

Repository view column header width shouldn't adjust independently of the splitter. (Bug:1323)

Using a mildly non-standard browser as default browser leads to an error. (Bug:1348)

On the Mac, an error message pops up if you click Cancel when trying to print the calendar. (Bug:2462)

On Linux, Send toolbar button does not update to Send To New when you add new invitees to a shared collection. (Bug:2497)

There are a number of bugs relating to notifications sent to items.

• Bug:2510 - Unstamped items not disappearing from filtered collections.
• Bug:2749 - Deleting an item on the calendar view doesn't cause it to disappear.
• Bug:2682, 2699 - The detail view doesn't update according to the item selected in the summary table view.

Upon startup of newly downloaded Chandler, creating a new note causes the summary table view to disappear. (Bug:2593)

Performance and related bugs

Chandler uses close to 78MB memory even when idle. (Bug:1692)

Doing various operations is too slow, including:

• starting up (Bug:1849)
• navigating between tabs on the sidebar (Bug:1850)
• creating a new calendar item by double clicking (Bug:1854)
• running unit tests takes a long time (Bug:2064)

If you click quickly through collections on the sidebar, Chandler will get confused. (Bug:2086)

Other

Block Demo: The Controls popup menu is empty on Mac and Linux. (Bug:1237)

Setting the locale doesn't work on Mac or Linux (Bug:251)

On the PC, the calendar navigation arrows are missing on a 16-bit screen (Bug:2609)

When the summary table view is full of items, creating a new note gets cuttoff at the bottom of the screen (Bug:2627)

Selecting Add Additional Views in the test menus keeps adding the same 3 views to the sidebar everytime it's selected. (Bug:2736)

A number of other bugs and features have been deferred to the 0.6 release.
